Game of Thrones, Cthulhu and Freelancing Fun!

Hi guys, I know it's been some time since my last update on here. I have been swamped with hunting for work, working, and returning from a trip I took abroad. I was in Rome for two weeks and then France for a week, it was brilliant and exactly what I needed! Upon my return I went straight back to work, but I also started watching Game of Thrones! Can I just say that this show is uber addicting. I can't believe it took me this long to sit down and start watching. The cinematography, lighting, writing, acting and direction are all top drawer. I can't stop watching it and am almost finished with season one. I have also been busy drawing away and looking for more freelance opportunities. Recently I did a Cthulhu image, which I have posted along with this entry and have been working on the webcomic Concrete World. Concrete World will relaunch in 2013 with artwork by me, so keep your eyes peeled for that! I will announce the launch in multiple locations, so don't strain yourselves. If you want to play catch up and see what this series is about, check it out: http://www.theconcreteworld.com/ Please check out my deviant art page here: http://jbemmett.deviantart.com and my website: http://jamesemmettillustrates.com. Thank you all!

Nothing that new to report, just thought I would hop on here and give everyone a small update. I had an awesomely productive weekend. Doing a lot of penciling, inking and running around for a new freelance project! Thought I would share my twitter: https://twitter.com/jamesbemmett and my pinterest: http://pinterest.com/jamesemmett/ pages, since those are just easier for me to update at the moment. Blogging has proven to be difficult for me to keep up with, not that I am giving up on this at all. I will be providing updates when I can, but again twitter and pinterest are easier for me. Hope everyone has a great Monday! Should have some artwork to share soon I hope!

So after a long day of work and now actual art, I am almost too wiped out to do a blog post. I promised myself I would anyway, so here I go. Not much to say although I am working on several projects, so this will be a link heavy blog. Haha. Firstly, I am working with Studio 39 on an awesome comic, which is a work in progress. However they had me talk and give a small demonstration about digital painting last week, there will be a video and I will do a shout out about that when it airs! Yay! Please check them out here: http://www.studio39nyc.com/ They are amazing people. I am currently working on another project for Atlas Unleashed, so I will keep you all posted about those two when they are available and what Cons my pal Mark Mazz will be hitting up! http://atlasunleashed.com/ And finally I am working on a webcomic, titled Concrete World. I am their new artist. So you should check out the chapters of amazing work they have up, so you will be all caught up when my work premiers! http://www.theconcreteworld.com/ I think that's about it, I am still available for commissions. Feel free to e-mail me: jbemmett@gmail.com. Thank you everyone!

I-Con 31 update and Dog Portrait goodness. What?

I am back and better and more exhausted than ever before. Haha. I was up until 4 AM last night working, which is great except I was up this morning at 8. I meant to talk about my lovely experience at I-Con 31, which admittedly was some time ago now, but hey I'm trying here. I was on 5 panels over the course of the weekend and was able to spend a great deal of time with my pal Mark Mazz from Atlas Unleashed, have great discussions with the awesome twosome Charles and Rebecca Rozakis, and create an original on the spot character with the impeccable Robert Greenberger. Okay, I think I ran through my thesaurus now. The panels were as always a great time. I'm thinking I will come back to go into more detail regarding these, but at the moment I'm running out the door to do more work. Life as a freelancer. However I really want to thank the man behind the scenes Carl Fink, who runs a great track! He was so thankful and giving with his time and energy, as are all of the I-Con volunteers. They are an amazing bunch! Also, I have attached two recent dog portrait commissions...don't ask. They were a good time though and I got to paint with oils. The pictures of the paintings aren't the best, but I should have some new work to show soon!
