I-CON 30 and more...

I wanted to let everyone know I had a fantastic time at I-Con 30! It was really a blast. Got to meet some industry heavyweights like Bob Rozakis, Robert Greenberger, Mike Kaluta, Charles Rozakis and his awesome wife Rebecca! As well as run into my pals from last time the uber talented Elaine Lee and Mark Mazz! I also got to meet the wonderful Denise Poirier, who was involved with Elaine's audio comic book recording Starstruck. I have started listening to it tonight and it is fantastic, so check that out!! Check out Mark's comic book publishing company Atlas Unleashed as well, filled with just fantastic stories. I also got to meet the wonderfully charming Julie Benz, who was just great! All in all, there was some drama but better to stick with the positive and say that I definitely enjoyed my time. Hope to come back again!

I will have a web comic coming out soon, I will be back at I-Con come April, and I am still working at Marvel Comics as an editorial assistant!! Yay! So I know it's been like forever and a day since I posted anything here, but wanted to officially announce that I am working at Marvel Comics as an editorial assistant. Will be continuing to work on the comic art stuff on the side. I am working on a webcomic idea right now and of course Ex Occultus: Seal Of Solomon is still on sale over at http://whoissaintjames.com/! I am planning on doing some scanning and should have at least some sketch book updates soon. Haven't had much time for finishes except for commission based ones, which I can't post here... oh well. I also plan on doing some other fun and exciting stuff, maybe a podcast thing with some pals if that all works out and as per usual I am available for commissions. Thanks everyone for stopping by and please give me some time and I will get some newer artwork up here. Hope everyone is enjoying the start of summer!

I had such a great experience at I-Con and was on about 9 panels in all over the course of three days. I met fantastic fans, fellow creators and made wonderful connections. Being on panels with people whom I adore creatively and have been in the industry for years made for an intimidating if not wholly amazing experience.

Plug time for my fellow creators: Please check out Johnny Wander over at http://www.johnnywander.com, it's a webcomic made by Ananth Panagariya and Yuko Ota. Check out Michael "Mookie" Terracciano who has a webcomic over at www.dominic-deegan.com, also Elaine Lee who is having her book Starstruck reprinted and it looks simply amazing and she was so sweet, there was also Mark Mazz who has been in the industry for years and is helping to art direct a new series called Psychosis he was so kind and helped me through my first panel, and of course there was Peter David who needs no introduction the man is awesome. There were also two artists that I thought were just amazing David O. Miller(http://www.davidomiller.com/) who was so kind and generous, and Daxiong(http://www.flagstudios.com/) who was clear, concise and very supportive. I was on a panel with these people and am still trying to process that as I felt a bit out of my league.

Thank you I-Con for a wonderful experience and I hope I was not a let down for those who attended the event. Oh, and I want to send a big shout out to Matthew Stingone who ran the comic track and was so helpful and had a great supportive staff working with him! And a big old thank you to my family and friends who were utterly amazing and patient with me. You guys are awesome! All in all a thumbs up experience and hope I get an invite back for next year. Also meeting Charisma Carpenter didn't hurt, man she is gorgeous and was very nice.

Yay! Congratulate me, I finally have decided to kick myself in the butt and get this started.
